Chevy Blue Bell Day

Sometimes we get opportunities to do things we just cannot let pass. Today I had an opportunity to tour the Blue Bell Creamery in Brenham Texas and travel in style. I learned that Blue Bell creamery was created by a woman, Ms. Annie. How cool is that? The history of Blue Bell goes back more than 100 years and a woman is responsible for its inception. I had to blog about that since my blog is dedicated to Honoring, Encouraging, Acknowledging, and Leading women. We got a wonderful tour of the facility and we sampled ice cream. That was the highlight of the tour. No ice cream is better than Blue Bell Butter Pecan!

Thanks to Lone Star Chevrolet for providing the awesome vehicles and camaraderie along the way. After driving the Chevy Equinox and the Chevy Malibu, I am really tempted to trade in my car which is not quite a year old. Although I’m a utility vehicle lover, the Chevy Malibu is now my favorite Chevy vehicle. This car is the bomb! The ride was very smooth and quiet. I loved the plush leather seats and the sound system. I was most impressed with the available room in this car. There is plenty of leg room up front and in the back as well.

It also has dual DVD screens in the headrest of the back seats. You can satisfy the little ones with a great movie while traveling. Oh yeah, and it comes with two head phones and a remote control for the DVD player.

There is also a safety feature in the car which senses when a child’s car seat is placed in the front and it turns off the passenger’s airbag. I think that was a smart decision and a responsible one as well. Chevy anticipated that people may not always make smart decisions when it comes to safety. Kudos to Chevy for that! Thank you Lone Star Chevrolet for the nice cars and the great tour.
